a single leaf i received tonight
i could not place it with all my might

i put it to my nose and smelled a memory

of flower gardens and pleasant scenery

but also funerals of sadness and covered mirrors
many flowers and hugs, sadness and tears

cool colors and many a dim light
only good memories shared, quite a family sight
